How to get a reliance Jio Sim: misinformation spread by ill trained reliance employees

As of November 2016, if you call Reliance or speak to any of the Reliance Digital employees, they will tell you that you can get a Sim only once you generate a bar code using a 4G phone.

I had a friend who had got a 4G phone functional with reliance connection. I thought that before purchasing a 4G phone, I will try to get a reliance connection first. This is because in the past few weeks, there have been multiple occasions where reliance digital said that they have run out of Sims.

However, it was not possible to get a bar code generated from my friends 4G Phone because reliance Application would automatically log into his account

I then went to the reliance digital store and also spoke to reliance customer service. Both of them were unanimous stating that for purchasing a new reliance connection, a customer needs to buy a new 4G phone first and then generate a bar code. I asked them that if they can generate a bar code for me from the phone's that they were carrying in the store and they said that all of the phones have already been used for generating barcodes for other customers.

So I decided to try a hack. I removed the Reliance Sim from my friends for and also uninstalled the reliance application. I then restarted the phone and reinstall the app.My thinking was at this stage, the reliance software will not be able to distinguish whether it was installed on a new form or on a phone which had used a reliance connection earlier. And of course this was correct. The application prompted me to generate a bar code which I did and was thus able to obtain a reliance connection without purchasing of 4g phone

Incidentally, I asked the store employees about the reliance  Wi-Fi router and they had no idea.

I'm still looking for a router where I can insert the reliance 4G sim and can get a broadband connection. Given my experience, I cannot rely on the reliance employees (irony).

Anyway hopefully this post is of use to people looking for a 4G connection

Strengthening Exercises While Being Bedridden

If you are frequently bedridden due to illnesses like chronic pain, chances are that you will tend to lose muscle mass. Less muscle strength can lead to increase pain thus causing a vicious cycle of chronic pain. It is important therefore to find a way to exercise and strengthen the muscle despite being bedridden.

Over the years, I have found myself frequently to be in this situation due to fibromyalgia.  There are several videos about exercises for the bedridden patients(for example, this). However, the exercises in these are more to improve mobility rather than increase muscle strength. Ultimately, I spent quite a bit of time compiling a list of exercises from YouTube that exercise and strengthen every major muscle group.  The list is provided below along with the major muscle groups that they exercise. As I have suffered from injuries because of using weights incorrectly, I recommend trying only with the resistance bands initially and that is what I have included in the list.

How This Ayurvedic Herb Helped Me Safely Withdraw from Antidepressants

As a patient with chronic pain, I have to try out different painkillers and antidepressants to manage my pain. Most of these medications, especially the antidepressants, have side effects that include increased dependence and, therefore, can cause withdrawal symptoms. Depending on the duration and the dosage of the medication, these symptoms can range from a mere inconvenience to brutal and long-lasting health problems.

I myself faced tremendous difficulty while trying to wean myself off an antidepressant called amitriptyline. Like many of its counterparts, amitryptiline also has drowsiness as one of its side effects. Consequently, insomnia as a result of withdrawal from amitriptyline was a major problem for me. From a high of 75 mg, I was able to reduce the dosage to 25 mg at the rate of 5- 10  mg every fortnight without much trouble. However, reducing dosage from 25 mg onwards was a nightmare - no pun intended. I started experiencing disturbing vivid dreams that made it impossible …
